Receiving the Hardie Fellowship

Josh & Mark are extremely honoured to be afforded this opportunity to study in the USA at some of the world's leading Universities, connecting and consulting with experts at the cutting edge of research and innovation.

This is only possible because of the philanthropic foresight of Professor Charles Hardie, former Dean of Education at the University of Tasmania, who established the Hardie Fellowship through a generous bequest from his estate and managed in perpetuity by Tasmanian Perpetual Trustees.  The Fellowship provides teachers who are permanent employees of the Department of Education with the opportunity to undertake a period of research or study at a University in the USA each year, for a minimum of eight weeks or a maximum of one year; as an individual or as a member of a group.
